3M China Structural Adhesive Testing and Experimental Center opened

Latest News: On September 14, 3M announced the opening of its China Structural Adhesive Testing and Experimental Center at its Jinshan factory in Shanghai. 3M said that after the test and experiment center is put into use, it will form a joint force with the structural adhesive production line also located in the Jinshan factory in Shanghai, and respond to the rapid iteration and diversified innovative product development demands of domestic electronics and industrial customers.

In May 2021, 3M invested in the second phase expansion project of the structural adhesive production line in the Shanghai Jinshan factory, and simultaneously built a new structural adhesive testing and experimental center. At the beginning of this year, the second-phase expansion project of the structural adhesive production line was completed and put into operation, and the production capacity more than doubled. With the opening of the Structural Adhesive Testing and Experimental Center, 3M Shanghai Jinshan Factory will have both the manufacturing and R&D testing capabilities of structural adhesives. Before the new product is officially put into mass production, the response period for optimizing the formula, testing and validating and providing samples will be shortened from the original 40 days to 7 days.
