Arkema China Changshu R&D Center selects Akila digital twin platform as partner for its decarbonization strategy

Latest: Arkema, the world’s leading producer of specialty materials, has partnered with Akila, a real estate data and management platform. Akila aims to use digital twin technology and artificial intelligence technology to help large-scale and multinational asset portfolios achieve data-driven decision-making. Arkema chooses Akila to support its decarbonization strategy in China and “Arkema
Energy” energy efficiency project. The Akila platform will initially be used at Arkema’s R&D center in Changshu, where its asset modules and energy modules will help link and optimize building systems and data at the R&D center.

In terms of social responsibility, Arkema has become one of the most forward-looking groups in the chemical industry, ranking third in the chemical industry ranking of the Dow Jones Global Sustainability Index. Arkema aims to reduce Scope 1 and 2 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and Scope 3 emissions by 46% by 2030 compared to 2019 . Based on the deployment of the Akila platform, Arkema China will be able to further realize its commitment to decarbonization and increased efficiency. Through Akila’s customizable dashboards, company stakeholders can track progress towards energy, financial and GHG emissions optimization goals in real time and transparently.
