In addition to the spandex project, the Ningdong base has also introduced a number of upstream raw material enterprises in the spandex industry chain, such as Wanhua Chemical, Sinopec Great Wall Energy Chemical, Wuheng Chemical, etc., to comprehensively build an integrated high-performance fiber industry cluster. At present, the Ningdong base has been completed. The two spandex production enterprises Hyosung Spandex (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. and Ningdong Taihe New Materials Co., Ltd. have an annual production capacity of about 96,000 tons. At the same time, the 108,000-ton spandex project of Taiguang Chemical Fiber is being settled. By 2025, the Ningdong base will be established. China’s spandex production capacity is expected to be around 800,000 tons, making it the world’s largest spandex production base.
